What Our
Archers Say

"I sent in my grandfather's 1965 Bear Kodiak that had been sitting in a closet for 30 years. The team at Recurve Rescue brought it back to life. It shoots beautifully, and the finish is stunning. I actually cried when I opened the box."
Margaret T. Sacramento, CA
"These folks know traditional bows inside and out. Had a delamination issue on my Black Widow PSA that two other shops said was unrepairable. Recurve Rescue fixed it perfectly, and it's been shooting flawlessly for over a year now."
James K. Boise, ID
"Outstanding communication throughout the entire process. They sent me photos at every stage and the turnaround time was faster than quoted. My custom longbow looks and performs better than when it was new. Highly recommend!"
David R. Bend, OR
"I compete in traditional archery tournaments and needed my competition recurve tuned to perfection. The team didn't just tune it — they identified a hairline crack I'd missed entirely. Saved my bow and possibly saved me from an injury. True professionals."
Sarah M. Flagstaff, AZ

Contact Us
How much does a typical restoration cost?

Costs vary based on the scope of work. A basic tune-up and refinish might start around $75–150, while a full structural restoration with delamination repair can range from $200–500+. We always provide a detailed quote before beginning any work — no surprises.

How long does a restoration take?

Most restorations take 2–4 weeks depending on complexity and our current workload. Rush services are available for an additional fee. We'll give you an estimated timeline with your quote.

Can you restore any type of bow?

We specialize in traditional archery equipment — recurve bows, longbows, and other traditional designs. We work on both production and custom bows. We don't service compound bows or crossbows.

How do I ship my bow safely?

We recommend using a hard bow case or a PVC tube with bubble wrap padding. Always unstring your bow before shipping and insure the package. We'll send you detailed packing instructions after your initial consultation.

What's covered under the 2-year warranty?

Our 2-year craftsmanship warranty covers all restoration work we perform — if a repair, refinish, or any work done by our hands fails under normal use, we'll fix it at no charge. Replacement parts carry their original manufacturer warranty separately. The warranty is even transferable if you sell the bow.

Do you do custom bowstrings?

Absolutely! We build custom Flemish twist and endless loop bowstrings to your exact specifications. Choose from a variety of materials including Dacron, Dyneema, and Fast Flight compatible options, in a range of colors.
